So, the background checking that was used only discriminated against blacks and not any other racial group? Or are the other racial groups now being "disproportionately excluded" by this settlement?

Why does this just affect black applicants? Am I missing something? What about the non-black applications who were also denied for the the same reasons stated in the article? Either this article is missing information or something is fishy.

Just a thought but if you want to be a productive member of society how about not getting arrested so you can get the jobs you want. So tired of the mentality that it's always someone elses falt in this country.

Hmm. Some people can't read too well.. The story said they used the policy to exclude BLACK APPLICANTS. Meaning, they allowed white and other applicants to obtain jobs without the same scrutiny.. There is no entitlement here.. You don't know what that word means.. Just another guy thinking that minorities want something for nothing.. Poor generalizations rule perception.

A very close friend of mine was arrested for assault and was found not guilty as it was self defense. Are you saying that he shouldn't have a job?
