Who cares what the additional costs are, The Vikings have known about their stadium needs for years. They need to cover their problem. Their lack of planning does not mean the public needs to spend any money.

Arden Hills is the best site. Enough with the Dome talk even if its just the site after this story.Say no to Minneapolis.

Arden Hills is the best site. Enough with the Dome talk even if its just the site after this story.Say no to Minneapolis, they already had their chance and they built the worst stadium in the NFL. No More.

Traffic and parking could be crazy on sundays next to the basilica. The current dome site is a very good spot logistically. But it seems like a lot of money and effort to build something that will have about the same seating capacity as the dome but more corp boxes.

If the thespians and musicians deserve great halls in which to act/play, I say the vikings are no less deserving. Afterall, it is those with culture (read money or wine drinkers) that attend these events. Why can the masses (insert vikings fans or beer drinkers) enjoy some support for a change? As a vikings fan I feel slighted by those who have gotten what they wanted (legacy money) yet insist no money for my entertainment.

It would be a travesty both financially and socioeconomically if the Vikes left the Dome site because there are zero infill options, especially with a downtown filled with office and residential vacancy. And WHY, if they started demo this Summer, can't the site be ready by fall of 2014? I know other stadiums built within a two year time frame. Yes, the dome field needs coils. Just ask the 2010 team when temps were below 40 for the last games. It was an absolute mistake to build this without coils. That field gets very hard once mid-late fall evenings hit and doesn't thaw out by noon everyday. I'd rather see our college kids play on a safe field going forward anyway. Any chance extra Vikes revenue can go towards a new Bball practice facility?

Wilf is a real jerk.....he only wants Arden Hills dump ground so he can invest in other projects on the same site. Mpls is the ONLY choice.

Wilf had better hope the U of M will 'host' his team. Currently, he has no place for HIS TEAM to play! Instead of giving him a free stadium (the dome) let's make him upgrade the U's stadium to 'NFL standards' and force him to play there! He deserves that treatment after all of his empty threats.

So freaking funny that the debate now is where the new stadium will be built instead of if it will be. I suggest we make Feb 1, the official "Let's pack the Vikings up and send them to LA Day". Minnesota has always been a state that blazes the trail. Let us be the first state to send the NFL packing with a good swift kick in the **** with a thanks but no thanks for the opportunity to build another stadium that the Vikings will demand be torn down in ten years so another "state of the art" toy land can be built. Time to grow up Minnesota.
