We'll take the win, but to give up 2 late @ home hurts. This team just can't put it all together anymore. At least they came through in the shootout.

How do you regroup for a shootout? Ridiculous headline, and terrible way to give up a point when you had them down. Looking forward to Fletch making a move soon and no player or prospect should be exempt. We have lots of cap room and unless we're going to CONTINUE to LOOK TO THE FUTURE now is the time to pull the trigger.

It was a great win. It wasn't perfect, but man, they needed it. That was the closest they have looked to the team that surged to the top of the league ... well, since they were there. Mr. Russo, I do want to find out what is up with Mikko, however. That was his second sub-Koivu game in a row. He went down unintentionally 3 times tonight, which I am thinking is about 3/4 of the times this year. For the second game in a row, he was also lacking his usual aggressiveness. One would think that he is hurting. (Might explain his grumpiness after last game, as well.)

Thank god they got two points instead of puking on the shark's two goals. A loss would of been a killer. Tonight's game showed the grit that this team needs, but the defense has to play more consistent. It was a pleasure to watch the game on NBC/versus who do a great job describing the game and strategy. I hope Mike Greenlay was taking notes.

Anyone else notice Koivu had nearly 26.5 minutes of icetime?

Good game by the second line. Actually Wellman should get the biggest credit of all three due to the fact he is a call-up. I guess when you are in charge of CC's PR campaign, you must only break-out the superlatives for CC's goal, not Johnson's, even though it was essentially scored the same way. NIemi deep in his net, goofed-it like the TV announcers said. Pretty much the same thing for poor Warren Peters, the puck bouncing off him was no where near as scintillating as the one that bounced off Cullen. So did your idea as to why Seto was benched, match up to reality? Now that you have annointed CC the next Babe Ruth in predicting one for a unfortunate young man, remember to compare PMB with Lou Gehrig , if forced to retire from the game early.

CF mistake Nic Leddy 0g 0a -2 (team worst) in CBH 5-2 win. Only played 15 minutes. -14 sine the beginning of Nov. Gee, the opponent scored 2 goals and Leddy was -2, hmmm. Isnt is about time Leddy lovers start applauding CF for getting rid of him, and also highlight that getting Spurgeon didnt cost CF anything in terms of a pick?

Glad we got the win, ugly as it was. Although Harding made some really terrific saves, he also appeared to give up a lot of big rebounds. Hopefully this starts the Wild back to early season form.

Of course it is never good to give up a 2 goal lead. But teams do that and they were playing a very good team also. The depth of the team played really well (Wellman, Johnson, etc.). It might just be me but that incredible warrior Zanon was really off last night. Not sure if there is something specific that caused it last night but he seemed to be on some strong medications or something. The rest of the d-men really seemed to have stepped it up to where they need to play.

What a wacky game. Both goaltenders looked shaky, but Harding made some big saves when he needed to, and Niemi had the refs to help him when he needed it. Brodziak takes an incredibly stupid, uncharacteristic penalty to give the Sharks a 5-on-3 PP, and the Wild played like they were playing when they were winning games. Zanon was uncharacteristically bad, making me wonder why Lundin is still being scratched. Now the question is whether this really marks a turnaround for this team, the end of the slump and return to the play that took them to the top of the league, or just a one-off game, like the win against the Oilers. It's a very tough road trip coming up, so it's going to be a major challenge.
