Remmele: Quick, profitable turnaround

Twin Cities manufacturer Remmele Engineering is being sold by private equity firm Goldner Hawn for $182.5 million.

Another example of a "job creator" purchasing existing jobs instead of creating them. Consider this: NO JOB CREATION, NO TAX BREAK. Reward job creating performance after the fact, not before.

Jr Swan: From the article - "Morrison said that when his partnership bought Remmele, operating income was less than $8 million a year. After adding the current management team and providing it with the capital to expand the business, Remmele's operating income grew to about $22 million a year." See the part about "expanding the business?" Most educated people understand that when someone expands a business, they add jobs. What do you think that means?

rarmstrong, if you think the term "expanding the business" automatically includes adding jobs, ask for a refund for any biz courses you too cuz you learned absolutely nothing. That's a general term that can include almost anything. I don't know if there were jobs created or not. I'd assume if there were, it would be part of the story. Recent history indicates when new manufacturing jobs are added, they ain't in the USA.
