glad to see this in a Target rather than a Best Buy... will they carry a full line of Mac products or just the iphone/ipad/ipod?

I wouldn't call Apple "geeky." Trendy, yes. They practically define the word "trendy." But geeky, no. Geeks buy Androids. People who frequent Starbucks and wear the North Face clothing also go to Apple stores.

Apple is abandoning Best Buy, which according to Forbes is on the way down? Or it's about market penetration for the Mac and non-smartphone products, which aren't growing as quickly (or making money for) the company as quickly as the smartphone unit.

Target already carries iPods and iPads. I presume the next step may be home computers or laptops and/or iPhones.

Should turn out to be another marketing disaster for Target.

Great...Apple infiltrating virtually the planet. Will we see soon an Apple Store inside an SuperAmerica? And from a previous post, Apple are for the trendy...those that want to appear that they know their tech, but really don't. Real techs, real geeks, don't use Apple. Why? Because it limits their creativity. You can't mod or root. You can't change things. You are locked in to I-tunes. In a nutshell, Apple are tech products for dummies.

mrteeth, et al. Apple are tech products for dummies... who just want their computers to work. I can't mod or root? What ever shall I do? I guess I'll just have to use the vastly superior devices to perform the simple tasks that 99.9% of us lowly "luddites" use on a daily basis, without worry of constant crashes or viruses. I have a question for those of you who rip us "trendy" Mac users: What car do you drive? Is it one that runs with little maintenance, or do you consider that an over-priced, trendy luxury, too? For now, I'll assume you drive something from the 50s, like they do in Cuba, so that you can "mod and root" the thing as needed. I have never heard an auto-mechanic deride others for the cars they drive the way PC guys lambast Mac users. I guess mechanics just realize not everyone in the world has the time or desire to learn their craft. PC elitists should wake up and realize most folks don't sit around all evening playing Warhammer, drinking Mountain Dew and "rooting and modding."

Yawn... sign... don't much care for Apple. Target needs more consumer items rather than iJunk in their stores to compete with Walmart. I used to shop more at Target, but lack of items turns me over to Walmart.

a1to1news, I'm with you. Wal-mart rocks for items. I might not be mingling with the most i-trendy people but I am getting more i-consumer products.
