Key to not losing more season ticket holders next season, and the next? Not making the playoffs. A nice potentail talent pool for the future. But the future is now, not 2-3 years from. When that talent pool comes on-board, its still going to take a few years after that assuming no change. Way too long go wait.

Regardless of how long it took to come up with the keys Russo hit the nail on the head. I'm a big fan of number 5, make a trade or two now. All of the talk about the talent that's waiting to step in next year is nothing short of hope peddling. Teams are judged on what they actually do, not what may happen NEXT YEAR. We've had, in the past, first rounders that were touted as NEXT YEARS stars but NEVER panned out. Sheppard at 9, Pouliot at 4, AJ Thelen, Colton Gillies to name a few. Upgrade with proven talent now.
