I look at this year’s finish in the tournament as a total embarrassment. I hold USA Hockey responsible not the players. You can’t just throw together players from all over, holding the final roster until just days before the games and expect to finish high or win. In years past the talent level on the US team was superior and they had a run of luck which propelled them to high finishes even gold. The chances of USA winning gold will be few and far between until they assemble a true team, play and practice together like the 1980 Olympic team did. I am just glad Canada lost to Russia!
