"The Vikings have said they will not renew their lease unless a new stadium agreement is reached." Is this a threat? So if a deal isn't done are they just going to quit the league or play all road games or what? Hellofa plan B.

Get this thing done in Minneapolis. It makes more sense then Arden Hills.

The guy that should be fired, Rick Spielman, gets promoted today. Thats the completely backward approach that is becoming so familiar with the Vikings these days. Putting your star player on the field less than 100% when the playoffs are far out of reach is another example of how mismanaged this franchise is from the coaches all the way to the top. Why Frazier is even being considered to stay coach of this team is completely out of my comprehension. The real problem starts from the top. Zygi "I hope the Vikings cut me a profit" Wilf is the true obstacle slowing this franchise down. This team is reflection of the owner. He showed his true colors when the Vikings were getting blown out in a Sunday night game in Chicago earlier this year. Down by 30, Zygi was acting like a little kid that had never been on TV before when they showed him in his pressbox, waving and smiling like he had won the lottery. I guarantee Robert Kraft would have acted a bit differently in that same situation if his team was down by 30 and being completely humiliated on national television. I have been a Vikings fan for a long time but its getting harder and harder to stick with these clowns, especially when we have such a clown in charge. Drafting defense (defensive backs especially) and starting the season with Joe Webb, who marched the Vikings into Philadelphia last year and beat them when they were going for home field, probably would have resulted in a better situation than where this franchise sits right now. Well, there is always the possibility that we will sign an overaged washed-up quarterback that may lead us to the promise land. Who's it going to be next year? Ryan the Viking

The Vikings, Twins, and the Gophers all used to play in the same facility. Now the Vikings want their very own new stadium for just 8 home games a year? There's no way to justify this … not unless they pay for it themselves. Yup, with the new roof and new turf at the Metrodome the Vikes are doing fine right were they are.

I really hope the city and state politicians do not bend over backwards for fear of losing the Vikings. How about an outdoor style stadium (Lambeau style) for 500 million instead of 1.05 billion.

Too bad Rybak is off campaigning for Obama in NH and can't comment. Sure hope RT enjoys the drive up to Arden Hills to catch a game.

A beginning of the session up or down vote? On what? A plan that's supposedly been only "weeks away" for well over a year? Sen. Senjem's metaphor is fairly accurate - this is at about the same point it was a year ago. About the only difference is that there are now 4 potential sites and at least 3 different funding proposals involving gambling all of which are going to have to be debated at length. The only reason I can think of for Sen Rosen wanting an immediate vote is a desire by her to kill the stadium for this session since no one would vote to spend $650 million on something this vague and incomplete.

To: Sen. Julie Rosen, R-Fairmont Why don't we build the stadium in Fairmont, MN? Signed, A Hennepin County Taxpayer

I don't care where they put the stadium, as long as there's a referendum on the 650 million. Let the taxpayers decide if they want their 650 million lining Zygi's pockets or not.
