But don't be surprised if Rick Spielman is promoted and put in charge of the football side of the operation.

No changes, how exciting to know the three stooges will all be back for another year.

Sid: Does 6-10 and 3-13 sound like Rick Spielman should be put in charge of the entire organization? While he may not be the head coach like Leslie Frazier, Spielman is also responsible for bringing in the current roster and has done little to nothing to address the team's needs. If anything, Spielman should be fired and a former head coach in the NFL should be in charge of the team. But if you and others believe the Vikings don't need to right the wrongs left behind by your buddy Brad Childress, this team will continue to remain at the bottom of the NFC basement with little or no incentive for players to perform, which will lead to blackouts and an angry fan base that goes beyond the fairweathered fans in this state.

This guy ran Detroit and Miami into the ground. He traded for Jared Allen, sure! Then he signed Bernard Berrian and Madieu Williams to HUGE contracts. He drafted All-Day and Harvin, great! But he also drafted Tyrell Johnson(when DeSean Jackson was still on the board), traded back to miss Malcom Jenkins and drafted Chris Cook. See what I'm getting at here, Mark and Zygi? With Spielman it's 1 step forward, 2 steps back. DO NOT MAKE THIS GUY GM!!!!!!

I can't wait to see how Spielman and the gang screw this draft up. They went into the season believing that we had the talent to compete and in so doing we ended up with Ponderboy. That was a stretch. DB's, Linebacker's, O-line, RB's and WR's all have to be upgraded in order for us to get back to respectability. That is going to take a long time. We win 4 games next year...maybe?

WOW, the Wilfs have done an incredible job at maintaining the viking's empty Super Bowl / world Champonship trophy case and it looks like it will continue for some time to come!!! These 51% majority owners and extortionist from New Jersey have ONLY been successful in running a NFL franchise in two categories and that is being able to raise season ticket prices every year since becoming 51% majority owners six years ago and gettingfree rent in the Metrodome every year as well!!! The vikings will continue to lose 10 to 12 games a season as long as these stooges continue to be in charge.

yep no major changes = organization so lost it needs a compass / flatliners roll on ... The beloved purple will never see the LOMBARDI PARTY with this status quo scrotumless mindset.

Building a BILLION DOLLAR $tadium for the Cowboys has done nothing to help them get to the playoffs. What would it do for the vikings? NOTHING!!!

I think this news would go along with the message; Be carefull of what you ask for. You might get it. We all know someone needed to be given power to fix this mess and the idea of a GM running the show was often brought up by Vikes fans and some sports writers. With the Wilfs limited knowledge of who might be a good candidate to fix this team they were probably deciding between Spielman and Childress. Maybe we should be thankful.
