I think Kassian may be our own supplemental disciplinarian since Shanny won't do it. Nice to see the boys figured out it's better to give than recieve.

Great game tonight Wild. The Z's were having good games too, but I notice both of them turn the puck over alot in our D Zone..If I am not mistaken, i swear I saw Nick Schultz even throw a couple semi-aggressive checks tonight too, WOW!! I was at the game and you could feel the energy and Matt Kassian brought it tonight; Dear Brad Staubitz, take note of Mr Kassian's presence tonight..GO WILD!!

Brad Staubitz is nasty and I want him on my side when we go to war.....Matt Kassian, however, is an animal and the way our small guys have been getting smoked, he will make a huge impact in stopping that garbage. Gotta find a roster spot for him.

Wild Win! Has a pretty good ring to it. A fitting way to end a winless streak for this team. A back-to-back game following an overtime game with significant travel in between (even if in the same time zone.) One they really had to gut out - but the Wild were up to it! I remain optimistic that the glass is filling back up. [with perspective, of course.](p.s. I think I liked Palmer with Brodziak and Johnson.)

Tonight you have to like the Wild, fans liked it and it was familiar to me. What I liked, we seen some local names on the roster which had to have been a focus of management after the Leddy catastrophe with MA Barker AND I liked Matt Kassian called up to play with Staubitz, I think Staubitz makes sense if Kassian is playing with him, if not other players make more sense in place of Staubitz obviously ...... The personality of the Oilers is what I expected, it is who they are and Minnesota Wild looked like the the Wild we known before DR was fired..... I am critical of Fletcher, why on earth do you keep Staubitz as your lone protector, evidence of the craziness can be viewed tonight, look at how much more tougher Staubitz played all of the sudden playing with Kassian, heck, they all played that way...... It is obvious as the dickens, but what do I know, I am some blogger who you can roll your eyes too, just sayin......... Fletch, did you really expect the NHL to protect your squad because of the anti bully stuff? the NHL is protecting coconuts and coconuts only right now..... So much for Nordy and the family environment with everybody holding hands, the Wild responded

@ leehun, Like I say in my poster, Staubitz does not belong on the game day roster unless he is partnered with Mathew and some games you need neither of them..... A sub guy like Jarod Palmer would be more useful reckon....... Just no way the NHL is going to go nice as it takes the passion out of it..... I like it when a team plays with in its personality, last year Stauitz was an agitator under Richards and that was not Minnesota Wild hockey but that is Oiler hockey and that is why Saw might be good fit with a team like them

With what I have seen from Palmer and the element that Matt Kassian brings, I see no need for Gillies. I hope Fletcher can move him along to a team that can use him. He seems like a good kid, but I dont really see the Wild having a spot for him in the future.... most certainly if the Wild sign Zucker or Coyle after the college season is over.

What a game to be at! Hortichuck is a moron. Kassian beat him out of his jersey the first fight, then he wanted it a second time! He only got pounded about a half dozen times the second fight. The Wild looked GREAT half the game and struggled the other half. You have to give the Oilers credit, they have a pretty good team. I better quit picking on Heatly, he is a big dude! I would like to see him be more physical. The first line looked great all night long. I was sitting 10 feet from the goal, we could of easily had 6 goals tonight. But then again, Edmonton could of had 5. Backstrom just cant impress me. He is just average, at best. Sure, he has some good games. He is NOT a 6 mill a year goalie, I dont care what his buddy Russo thinks. Way to go boys, we got our monies worth and then some tonight!
