The NFL is a NINE BILLION DOLLAR PER YEAR ENTITY!!! ~ NINE BILLION DOLLARS!!! ~ How 'bout something like this. ~ The owners/players take TWO BILLION DOLLARS off the top each year. ~ With the TWO BILLION DOLLARS, they build two new stadiums each year. ~ That's a new stadium for each of the 32 NFL teams every 16 years. ~ Then, the owners and players split the remaining SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS. ~ I don't care HOW they split the SEVEN BILLION DOLLARS, 50-50, 60-40, 40-60, It's their money! ~ That would certainly solve the stadium problem, even though the BILLIONAIRES would have a few bucks less, and the MILLIONAIRES would have a few bucks less, I'm absolutely sure they would get by just fine!!! ~ http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-07-08/nfl-players-near-deal-on-economic-issues.html

The vikings had better "scrutinize" a way to pay for their play ground because the tax payers of Minnesota ARE NOT GOING TO PAY.

I am against tax money going for a new stadium. I am against tax money going to enrich billionaires and millionaires. However, there is ONE WAY, and ONLY ONE WAY that I would be supportive of a state built stadium. CHANGE THE GAMBLING LAWS!!! Allow every Minnesotan the same opportunity to run gambling as SOME Minnesotans (Indians) have now. Allow anyone to have slots in bars! Allow anyone to open a casino! Let the free market decide when there are too many slot machines. Too many casinos. A SMALL tax off the top would fund a stadium and education and lots more. This is a plan that I'm betting would pass if a referendum were held!!!

It's about time that the rest of us "Americans" are given an "equal opportunity". I'll go further and say that it would be good for EVERYONE (Indians and non-Indians) if the INDIANS were granted the SAME "equal opportunity" to succeed or fail based on their own hard work and skills, and not succeed ONLY because they have a monopoly!!

Anyone who wants should be allowed to have gambling. Let the "free market" sort out which would survive, and which would fail due to over-saturation of the market. That is how we end up with the final number of bakeries/gas stations/mortuaries. (Except areas zoned as residential) The "free market will work with gambling too!

I pledge to vote FOR any politician who votes in favor of casinos/racinos/bar gambling! I FURTHER pledge to vote AGAINST any politician who votes AGAINST casinos/racinos/bar gambling! Everyone: Make your pledges HERE and then LIVE UP TO YOUR PLEDGES!!!

Keep the stadium away from the Farmers' Market, please.

Not sure why the Vikings are worried about the sloping elevation of the Farmer's Market site. They always look like they are running uphill anyway!

swmnoldguy, I get so sick of your stupid I'm not for the public paying for the stadium. I could care less, the vikings could leave, but give me a break on that stupid argument. You either pay for them to be here or you pay in lost revenue. IE, hotels, jobs, income taxes, sales taxes and what not. You do realize minneapolis has, I believe the 3rd highest hotel tax rate in the country? Start doing the full math instead of being an uneducated person. Also, if you are against millionaires and billionaires getting a stadium, how come you aren't against corporations getting huge tax breaks? That's right they create jobs, same as the stadium would.
