I wonder how "extensively" Shamahan reviewed Bouchards play before suspending him. What a complete and utter joke. "hey, Im here"...that is insulting. Shammahan is no better than Bettman. I had hope that Sham would actually be a change in the right direction. Nothing has changed. The NHL execs have once again insulted the fans intelligence by feeding us this garbage.

So basically Shenanigans is saying it was Spurgeons fault that Mcloed shoved him into the boards. What a farce.

Bettman thinks it is OK for players to be mamed to preserve fan support.

After a proud career as a hockey warrior, Shannahan ends up as the NHL's bobo ... kind of like seeing a once great and now retired athlete shaking hands at the used car dealership. Sad.

Sorry Shanny, but Cody McLeod's history speaks for itself. Driving an opponent into the boards from behind is cowardly and should never be tolerated at any level.

OK then Clutterbuck can drive one of the better Colorado players into the boards cause an injury and will not get suspended. Is that correct Mr. Shannahan? Wild coach stated it extremely well. Watch he will get fined. What a joke is right !

If Spurgeon was a high profile player playing on the east coast, you would have seen a suspension. Us peons playing here in the Midwest get no respect. Total BS.

Ok let me understand this correctly, because Spurgeon put on the brakes so he wouldn't run straight into the boards it is his fault? I could be thinking totally illogical but shouldn't McLeod be putting on the brakes too if they are heading straight for the boards and Spurgeon has his back to him? McLeod never attempted to stop, he went into the boards with the intention of hitting Spurgeon, but I guess if you put your hand on the guys back before you hit him to let him know he is about to be illegally hit it then makes it ok!
