Allen's inflatd sack total for the season will mean very little in a season where the vikings will finish in last place in the NFC North Division (again) and will also be home for the playoffs (again)!!! Individual accomplishments during one of the worst viking seasons in their entire 52 year history ring hollow when you are sitting at home watching your rivals compete for a Super Bowl title and knowing you will not be able to reach the Super Bowl in a viking uniform.

Yeah-this team stinks, no doubt about it, but there have been some bright spots and some unique accomplishments. Coaching, management and poor decision-making along with a shortened training camp are reasons for disappointment. Frazier and some of these coaches are NOT long term solutions but are hinderances to any winning mentality. Changes are needed.

Jared deserves the honor and I thank him for some highlights during this horrible season! Yet' the fact that neither AD or Percy were voted to the Pro Bowl shows me that the majority of the people that vote are idiots! SKOL VIKES!

AP missed too many games to make the pro bowl. Percy should have made it. As a die hard Vikings fan I will be watching every last second of Sundays game against the Bears and hoping for a win. DAN WIEDERER can take that True and False question at the end of the article and..... I'll be watching!!! SKOL VIKINGS!!!!

Why drag the Bears into the company of the Vikings? If you watch any Vikings game you are watching the worst team in the NFC North play.

Wow, great writing. I know, your paid to opine, but seriously... Jared Allen going for a team and NFL record, or how about Jim Kleinsasser's last game. Don't they deserve some respect and attention? Having been a fan for nearly 50 years, it has been a rough season for sure, but isn't that what being a fan is all about. The number of losing seasons in 50 years pales in comparison to many other teams. No need to jump off the Viking longship.

westofrockie - I really like your comments and I agree completely. This year was tough but suck it up and look forward to next year, that's the whole point of being a fan. Congrats to Jared, he is the best and I love watching him play. Skol Vikes!

Would now be a good time to point out that most posters really have no idea what they are talking about? At the beginning of the season many, many posters here chose to state that Allen was overrated, only got sacks against bad teams, and they wouldn't take him on their team. I'll just assume those were drunken Packer fans and people with real knowledge realize that Jared Allen is one of the absolute best defensive ends of all time.

Congrats Jerad Allen on a fine season. You are surely one of the best of all time and that status has contributed to your team being 3-12 so far. I still enjoyed watching you calf rope on national TV as you were getting blown out this past year at Lambeau so good for you for getting a sack against rookie Newhouse or Sherrod. Congrats again, Jerad.

yeee haaaa calf roping boy. trade him next season. value fairly high. time to rock that rebuild plan with fresh young talent. time to go with the head ; not the heart you sentimental 1s.
