Ricky Rubio showed Wolves fans what they've been missing, demonstrating some of the flair that made them pine for him the past two-plus years.

Watching Rubio will be fun - he was impressive in his first game distributing the ball. Even if the Wolves suck, they will be fun to watch.

People will realize soon that there's a lot more than highlights that come from having a point guard like Rubio. This team will win a lot of games this year, possibly even contend for the playoffs if Williams develops. A good point guard brings out the best in everyone else as the other players know that if they get open they will get the ball. It makes everyone want to make the effort to get open rather than settling for contested jump shots. The difference from Ridnour to Rubio is like night and day and that will most definitely show up in the win column.

I know it is just one game. I know I have been let down by the Wolves for years. BUT-what an impressive point guart Rubio appears to be. The Wolves were 3 for 22 on 3 point shots and still almost beat a very good team, this year should be fun!

Since Garnett's departure the fans have had no hope. That's changed this year with Rubio as the primary catalyst. He's a completely unselfish player, a media darling and his rock star status attracts a wider range of fans. This was the first opening day sellout in 4 years & the Milwaukee game was the largest exhibition crowd since 1999. Rubio's impressive play last night proved his hype may well be justified. He's energized the fan base & restored long lost hope.

Rubio plays basketball like a great Spanish soccer player. His vision and creativity stem from growing up in a culture that admires a great pass as much as, if not more than, a great goal. He is going to make everyone around him better. Beasely on the other hand...

Rubio played a fantastic game. We have scorers, we just need a floor leader. I think we finally have that in Rubio. My only concern is the black hole that is Michael Beasley. 27 shots? I'd much rather see a lineup of Rubio, Barea, W. Johnson, Williams, and Love. Ball movement trumps 1 vs 1 every time.

All I know is that late in that game I just kept saying to myself, "Get the ball in Rubio's hands and we will have a chance!" My gut reaction says I like Rubio A LOT!!

Rubio and Barrea on the floor together is a great combo. I don't really care if they are in the starting line-up together, but those two need to be on the court in crunch time. Viva Los Lobos!

Aside from Rubio, Love, and Williams, this team is still far away from any playoff hopes. I am still on the fence about Beasley's play. They still need a legit center. Darko is a lost cause. He can't even make a free-throw. I predict a 20 win season at most and hope for another decent draft pick next year. Wolves should be more fun to watch anyway.

He can make flashy passes but he is no scorer. He gets all the attention but he is not the starting point guard and he isn't even the second best guard on this very average team. Let's hope he improves under a very good head coach.
