I guess I have to point out that Schultz has played all 32 games and averages 19:44 TOI per game on a team that leads the NHL, so I think cutting him is a little drastic. I'm going to the game tonight and I'm expecting a hard working team effort, as usual, resulting in 2 more points. Go Houston North!

The only thing the Wild have to offer in a trade is either prospects or D. The one with the most trade value is Schultz. You never know, a team like Philly with Pronger being out for the season may be looking for a veteran defensemen. Who knows if Lats or PMB will be back? The 20-30 goals they possibly represent through the rest of the season have to be made-up somewhere. Hopefully those two will be back, but i am not hopeful. I have always been of the opinion that Fletch should have gotten rid of PMB after last season because with his history, i was afraid he was just one good hit away from being gone a long time. Also, its a critical time in terms of the fanbase. The stands are starting to get filled again. Any type of collapse in terms of the standings, combined with no stars is a recipe for disaster.

Do a little research m'boy - Zanon is easily a top five D on 90% of the teams in the league and got caught in a back-from-injury numbers game the other night as a "healthy" scratch. He's in the final year of his contract. Any team looking to plug a hole - you mention Philly; I think his 'grit' would fit well there - would be an attractive option and Fletchy could continue to stock the shelf with either prospects or an impact forward which we seem to need all of a sudden.

It typifies Burns's reckless style of play. Up until now we've only seen the out-of-position pinching, out-of-position sprawling on the ice recklessness. Now we experience the other side of the coin with his reckless play when it comes to endangering opponents. How many times when he played for the Wild do you suppose he hurt an opposing player with a stupid move, and we just never heard about it? We came out so far ahead on that trade, it isn't even funny!

Clutter along with Seto have both called out Burns now for contributing for their injuries that have caused lost time. Schultz's play on Toews goal cost us the game vs. Chicago. He played the puck instead of the body. This isn't the first time I've seen him do this. It's fundamental hockey taught in Peewees and Bantams. His physical game is also lacking to say the least. He is trade bait but has a low demand from other teams.
