While I live in Wisconsin, I feel the ability to recall a governor for nothing more than being disliked is a very bad policy. Let's save this expensive activity for people that actually break laws and deserve impeachment. Let's also not forget the side of the story of the schools in WI that went from a deficit and sure layoffs last year to a surplus and HIRING new teachers because of the changes in the labor agreements. By simply being able to CHOOSE their (non-union led) insurance company from WEA Trust, these schools saved millions and saved/created jobs. That story is lost in the mix somewhere though. This recall is a waste of taxpayer money.

How about we let democracy work? If someone is elected for a specific term and has not been impeached or committed some sort of crime then let them serve out their term. If you get rid politicians due to their policies then you better be prepared for recalls at every possible chance...the normal elections will be meaningless and a recall will happen whenever they are available. It's just sad to see an emergency process being abused to appease unions.

A perfect Packers season could only be improved by the recall of Governor Walker.

I'm shocked...shocked, I say, shocked! I don't believe there are 500,000+ public union supporters that can actually sign their name. Apparently an "X" is ok!

Actually this is exactly what the recall process is for. Impeachment would result in removal from office by the state senate and assembly, not a vote by the people.

You fools in wisconsin- you have a great man as governor. What is your intention? Do you want some socialist liberal in instead?

You campaign and get elected on specific positions. You can't then come up and dump on such a large part of the population and expect the people to be happy and tolerate your bait and switch.

Funny how a group needs 720000 signatures to validate the 500000 required? If it smells like a fish, stinks like a fish, ..... Does that indicate a lack of confidence in their petition being recognized? I guess Mickey and Donald must have been signed a few thousand times.
