Commissioners Tony Bennett and Rafael Ortega continue to serve the Vikings: "The bottom line is the Vikings are sticking with Arden Hills, they're saying, 'How would you make this plan work?'" I would prefer to go with an approach that is in keeping with the rest of Minnesota rather than what the Vikings want. That is unless the Vikings are willing to pay the total bill.

This plan is dead on arrival. There is no way the public would support such an egregious tax for such a wasteful expense. Bennett and Ortega should borrow $200 million themselves if they really want to build a 21,000 car parking lot in Arden Hills for Zygi Wilf.

County-wide? Not! How's about just taxing the food and beverages AT the stadium! You wanta see dumb-bunny millionaires chase silly balls around a stadium, great. Ante-up! We'll call it the Bread & Circuses Tax.

Lets get it done in Arden Hills where it belongs. Mpls leaders snubbed the Vikings and when they realized another site was viable they scrambled to come up with a plan. They still don't have their act together and can't seem to settle on one downtown site. Arden Hills is the perfect site for a "game day experience"!

Time again to replay The Stadium Opponents Greatest Hits. For just 4 payments of $9.99 (plus shipping and handling), you'll get: "Let Zygi Pay For It Himself", "Move to LA - I Don't Care", "No Wilfare for No Billionaires", "What About Our Schools?" and much much more.

I already don't eat out much because it's become too expensive. You want to kill restaurants in Ramsey County? Are you kidding me? This idea is even WORSE than the sales tax idea. I can't believe how these commissioners keep search for regressive ways to pay for a billionaire's playground. It's wrong. Just wrong.

Don't live in Ramsey County so really don't care. If they want the stadium then let them come up with the money. Also let them come up with the State's share at the same time. If it is such a great thing for Ramsey County then it should be worthwhile for they and Wilfy to foot the entire bill.

'Food and beverages'? Are they referring to groceries?

Watching the story from Fort Lauderdale, Our Miami Dolphins Stadium is not in Miami, but Broward County (suburban Fort Lauderdale). Minnesota would be wise to do the same and build it in Ramsey. People want tailgating and parking, not a cramped downtown location.

Of course, critical to the plan is their analysis that there is no referendum requirement. That gives you a good idea how much support they believe it would have from the public.
