Peterson will play for pride, Fantasy

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson said he will play against the Saints on Sunday. As for why he'd actually want to play for a 2-11 team on a left ankle that he says is "85 percent," well, he has his reasons.

Peterson says he wants to play to achieve personal goals? Boneheaded and selfish move Adrian. If you get hurt bad in one of these nothing games you'll hurt the future of this team. You should put the team yourself and not your personal stats. Please don't become one of THOSE players.

"I'll be asked at the end of the season, 'Do you want to make any changes, what changes do you want to make or do you want to stay status quo?'" Frazier said. "And it's up to me to make that decision, what direction we want to go." Coaching changes? One suggestion? If 2-14? Fire the coaching staff then resign.

This Viking team is sad. Been a long season. Hurts even more seeing the undefeated Packers.

Fraser needs to man up and resign. How can he possibly continue to lose game after game, make poor decisions, support some of the defensive schemes, throw silly red flags, use poor clock management and reward poor play? Oh well guess Ziggy does it so why not Leslie. Time to stay home. Thank goodness for the Wild, Gopher hockey,Gopher basketball and high school sports.

Playing so some Fantasy rubes will be happy might be the worst decision making ever. Peterson doesn't owe them anything. I do like seeing "owners" in quotation marks...the only thing most fantasy "owners" "own" is a complete lack of understanding of the game of football.

Someone ask Bill Brown or Dave Osborn if theyve ever played on an ankle that was 85 percent - and for a lot less money than Peterson. Trade the guy.

Incredibly nonsensical to put the $15mm man out there with the current offensive line. This franchise gets loonier every game.

In other news, Packer practice squad WR turns down offer to join the Vikings! Tori Gurley turned down Vikes 53 man roster to remain on Packers practice squad. Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! No one wants to even play for your team! Go Pack!!

Just to be clear...Mauer should have played through injury, and AP should wait til he's 100%? Did I miss anything, bloggers?

Yep, that sounds like the brilliance of somebody from Green Bay all right.
