my goodness, it's a variation on a classic. In my day it was basketball, told you were getting a kiss on the lips from a cheerleader, had to guess which one. It was your mother. Perhaps they got a little carried away, but lighten up folks.

It sounds to me like the parents involved in moving the prank from questionable taste to horrible taste need to issue some apologies too, preferably to their children.

Very gracious and responsible response from the principal. Obviously an unwise practice but he accepted responsibility and apologized. Joe

It's a pretty horrible idea, so maybe there should be some ramifications for the principal, short of firing. However, I'm guessing he assumed and expected the parents to give a peck on the lips, not a full-fledged lover's lip lock. There are some pretty disturbing parents living in Rosemount. Scary.

Why is this such a big deal? Parents kissing their children in front of their children's peers as a joke - so what. People need to lighten up.

Yes, the principal needed to apologize but "ramifications short of firing." Come on!! The parents are at fault not the principal. The principal has no control over the parents and the stupid things they do & they think are cute. I'd like to know how many of these students were embarrassed by the whole thing. The parents need to apologize to the kids and to the principal.

I watched the video and thought it was a good prank. It weirded me out more to see the youtube poster saying it was part of a "liberal agenda". Lighten up people.

Don't let the kids have cell phones in school. Not having one did not diminish my high school experience. No cell phone, no video, no You tube, no fuss.

Really ? You were offended ? Grow up, it's not your child, and it was their own parents, it's called fun. Tolerance people, get some...
