Vikings stadium could get up to $200 million NFL loan

That would amount to almost half of Vikings' share. It would be from a revised NFL program that the league's owners adopted Wednesday night.

Wilf is trying to build this entirely with other people's money.

Since Wilf was basically adding in $150 million from the NFL it would be nice to see him up his offer to $480 million. I support the stadium and I think there are things Wilf could do to get this thing moving forward. He could split the naming rights money, etc. I still believe this is the time to do this. The Vikings are still under lease at the Dome. The state has the bargaining power.

It's nice of the NFL to offer a loan to one of its franchisees. Now Wilf can go to a bank to borrow the remaining $650 million he needs to build Zygi World.

So between forgivable loans, naming rights and I'm sure a seat surcharge Wilf will be paying nothing but benefiting 100%? Seriously, I was all for a Stadium but if the taxpayer and NFL fan is 100% on the hook let them leave. This is downright thievery.

Wow. I like sports, but it will never cease to amaze me how people prioritize this type of entertainment. I mean there are a lot of people hurting out there, having vital funds cut more and more. And yet we insist on prioritizing a new palace largely for millionare street thug jocks and their controlling bosses? There is something profoundly sad about this. I mean, let the Vikings move if they insist on a brand new stadium immediately in hard times. You all could root for the Wild, Twins, Gophers, T-Wolves, etc. It would not be the end of the world.

Don't see why people complain so much, if you were rich with a business (Like an NFL team is) you'd be trying to maximize your funds. That's how you get rich. The NFL is growing, having an NFL Franchise is only going to get better for those involved. Fans, players, states included. Giving up an NFL Franchise would be utterly foolish. People should be bending over backward to keep big business located in state. Simple science.
