Development on the former restaurant site along the Mississippi - largely unused for two decades - could include another eatery.

Before some of you go ballistic on the city for spending money....know that the park board is Minneapolis is completely separate from the city council. It acts independently and it has been that way for over 100 years.

it is too bad the city ran the former restaurant off that site and now 20 yrs later...wolla...yeah maybe another restaurant...but lets call it an eatery

Maybe the article could have explained WHY they refer to the "curse". Ill gotten gains paerhaps?

it wasn't so long ago that they wanted to tear down the Stone Arch Bridge, turn Our Lady of Lourdes church around to face a different direction, close off Nicollet at Lake St....ooops they did make that happen but they did take Reiko Westons restaurant, I remember the story in the paper, her fight, and probably her early death...I think it had to do with parking and immenient sp? domain by the Park Board...might not be 100% right...but pretty close I bet
