Hits from behind like the one on Bouchard should mean suspension for the rest of the season. The guy didn't even try to stop. If he does it again, he should be out of the league. It's not worth injuring a player so bad that his career might be over!

The Jets fans are morons for booing Heatley. It's embarassing that somebody should have to be booed for such a tragic incident.

First class cheap shot high and from behind. It will be interesting to see what the league does to this goon. If Bouchard has to miss any games which he probably will then the offender shoul dhave to miss the same amount of games along with a hefty fine. There is no place for this type of hit in hockey which the league is attempting to focus on and remove from the game.

really?, lil bouchy got a little relaxed and paid the price....I love bouchard as much as the next guy but PMB can't be putting himself in that type of position, he's no Brodziak. Bogosian will get no added suspension.

I certainly think that Bogosian should get some sort of suspension! That was absolutely a cheap shot, a vicious cross-check to the upper shoulders / back of the neck, driving Bouchard face-first into the glass, obviously breaking his nose! That was intent to injure, plain and simple. Bouchard is not a dirty player in any way, and he rarely gets called for penalties. He did absolutely nothing to provoke that hit.

I don't think there was intent to do the damage done. And homers should try to watch it from a different perspective, imagine that it's Falk hitting Daniel Carcillo. Hitting is still legal in the NHL, this one went wrong, it will be interesting to see if there is a suspension.

Butch let up? All he did was turn to go the opposite way. While you can argue the intent to injure, the intent to take him out of the play was obvious. Butch knew the guy was there, but he had no way of knowing that he was going to get boarded. It is also up to the player doing the checking to make sure he doesn't board the player. Want to take fighting out of the league? Take away these kind of plays.

Far different from Brodzy's hit on Kopitar, but I haven't seen anyone saying Bogosian is a dirty player (ala Matt Cooke). Personally I think Shanny should give him 2 or 3 just because, regardless of intent, players need to excersise restraint when a fellow player is in a vulnerable position. I don't think there was intent to injure but whith his size advantage he could have easily controlled PMB without the shot to the back. Bogosian is 6'3" and 215, drafted 3rd overall and is -2 with 45 penalty minutes. Spurgeon is 5'9" and 185, drafted 156th the same draft (but I don't think he was ever signed)has 4 penalty minutes and is +2. I'll take Spurgeon any day, he's faster, samrter and doesn't put the team short-handed.

The fact that not only was this play boarding but also a cross check indicates to me that there should be a suspension forthcoming. I really hope PMB is going to be alright, I don't want to have to endure another season and a half without him. He had been playing so well of late, buzzing around everywhere, creating turnovers all over the place and using his speed to get behind the D. Get well soon!

Old time hockey! Bobby Shore! We're puttin' on the foil, coach! Want some? It should be fun watching these two teams duke it up. I wonder if a hockey game will break out.
