Jets end Wild's winning streak in new border battle

The fans in Winnipeg did their part by making plenty of noise, and the two teams played an intense, physical game right to the end.

Bogosian's hit on Bouchard was cheap, dangerous, and unnecessary. I hope Bogosian gets suspended. The NHL cannot tolerate hits like this. That being said, I am fired up for revenge in February.

Really a good paced game, Jets are kind of chippy and that doesn't include the really cheap shot on PMB. Hope Butch doesn't miss too many games. Shanny should be handing out 5 games to Bogosian for that one. Nice to see Gui back, and he definitely isn't shy about contact. It wasn't going to last forever, so let's get the next streak started tomorrow. Go Wild!

1 game and its already a rivalry? Wow, that was fast. Particularly since the Jets aren't in our division yet. Russo and the tv announcers must have gotten the word from the Wild's brass to create one. Personally I would rather it be the Hawks or the Wings. Gee, the first line didn't do much tonight. I wonder why?

Just like the announcers were say that a rivalry was born, well they were right on. This was a very entertaing game to watch. Cant wait till they are in our division and we play them 6 times a year, will be fun. Hope Bouchard is OK he has a pretty bad history with concussions. 8 out of 10 points on the road trip, I'll take that all the time! Can't wait till game tomorrow.....

Great game...Hit at the end was unfortunate but in no means suspension worthy. Penalty was deserved but Bogosian was trying to make hard take out and Wild player turned to spin away. Game happens extremely fast down there. Rivalry will be a natural next year.

@jetsxoxo said by a guy who has probably driven with a higher B/A content then Heatley. (assuming you are drinking age)Good thing most guys don't have a car that will do 150 at the age of 21.. I'm sure he thinks about it every day. Like you said, it was his friend. Awesome game tonight. Can't get too mad at that hit on butch, he spun at the last second. I can't wait till next year.

It doesn't matter if Bouchard spun or not. Some of you are writing it as if it was his fault cuz he turned to play the puck. The onus is on the defender to back off, not drive his nose into the dasher. That play was pathetic. I don't know how you can call yourself a hockey player if you make a cheap hit like that on a small player like Bouchard.

ARRey sez: mg has it all figured out. This loss is due to the fact that No. 22 is back in the lineup. His stats: 3 shots (tied for 2nd); plus-minus even; 19:18 time on ice (3rd among forwards, behind No. 9 and No. 15); 6 hits (first, of course); one blocked shot (tied for 2nd); zero giveaways; two takeaways (1st). Clutterbuck is indeed a cancer on this team, isn't he, mg.

I almost don't care that the Wild lost because I still have stars in my eyes from that AWESOME GAME!! I think i've already checked out of the Northwest division!
