knowing the idiots that run this team they will trade webb for a 7th round pick or waive him outright

Webb needs to be out there as a WR...its an area of need and Webb needs to play. (He'd make a big strong target) Sage as Backup QB and Webb as third stringer...that way with NFLs new QB rule Webb can play both spots...thus freeing up a roster spot for, I don't know...maybe a cornerback that can cover? That's what I would try if I was coaching (which I am not)

I liked how Webb played in the pre-season consistently moving the team and converting 3rd downs with his arm and feet. It's ok to be PATIENT with Ponder who is 1-6, I understand that, but how about do the same for Webb who has done well in his limited time at QB. I believe Webb as a rookie won his first start in primetime, on the road, against a pretty good Philly team. He outplayed the much ballyhooed Vick, sealing the game with a clutch pass to Harvin on 3rd -8.. Webb is 1-1 as a starter not bad, especially taking into account he only had two days to prepare for last years Detroit game. Give the guy a chance to see what he can do before relegating him to a back-up or never-been. This season is over, atleast give the fans some excitement by playing him.

Having lost Sidney Rice to FA, this was the year to experiment with Webb at WR. Now that they've blown this opportunity, the Vikings will be unsure whether to draft a WR in the top spots in the 2012 draft. Just another classic example of this organization not having a plan.

They should have plays in which Webb is in the backfield (like they do with Harvin). Do some end-arounds with Webb and on a couple of them have him throw downfield. Do something to confuse the defense!

It's funny how these breakout players continue to exposes the shortcomings of this coaching staff. "we'll have to work on that some more" Ya think?

Seems to me that having two young quality Quarterbacks is a good sign for the future. Considering how often QBs have gone down to injury why would you not want to be stuck in the position of having two that appear ready to take the next step in the next couple years. Look at the Bears with Cutler gone. Indianapolis with Manning gone. Yes it would be nice to have Aaron Rodgers but you have to believe the Packer fans spend a lot of time praying he doesn't get hurt. Bottom line is you develop both Ponder and Webb. If Ponder is the number 1, Webb is 1A and he's one play away from having the job. It's why I can't understand how having a talented kid like Webb can be a bad thing going forward.
