St Paul's government is run by organized crime. They use the force of government to take money from those who actually have jobs and give to those that keep the DFL in power.

I bet if they "looked" a little harder, they would find a whole bunch of money that could be used to lower property taxes. These idiots have not a clue as to how to actually be fiscally responsible or how to efficiently run a business.

How is increasing our property tax by $37 instead of $44, a decrease? Appears to be an increase either way.

I'm a little struck by the librarian number. I know I may not have all the information, but that works out to about $53,000 per person in saving those library jobs! I looked up online and St. Paul has library salaries higher than the national average, the median is $56,000! Higher up in the echelons I understand, but instead of closing libraries and reducing hours, perhaps they should work on lowering salaries for some (not all) libraries, maybe grandfather in current ones and lower the salaries a bit for newbies? And I like the libraries- who knew I should have been a librarian!

Mayor Coleman is intersted in reducing taxes for the residents of St. Paul while Mayor Rybak is focusing on raising taxes in Minneapolis to subsidize Mr. Wilf's stadium.

First team Dayton "finds" extra cabbage, and now Coleman? If the accounting practices are this poor, why not get some people in place that know what the hell their doing? That or just come right out and say what we all know. This is BS money that can be manipulated and used for your own personal agenda. Flipping politicians.

St. Paul has more than enough cops already. How about *cutting* some government workers instead?
