Sounds like just what we need. He' familiar with Adelman's system, and he has talent. I trust whatever decision Adelman makes, and can't wait to see the final roster. There will be more changes, guaranteed, and a new look basketball team. Maybe the Wolves can take a page from the Wild book....new coach, new system, new players, and go from worst to first. Add in the World Champion Lynx, the recently #1 college hockey team in the country, the #3 in the country Gopher Wrestling team, and things are looking up for Minnesota sports. Twins and Viking fans, there's always next year.

Bonzi is a cancer who is only looking for money. He's telling you what you want to hear just like he did when he was in Portland. Kahn would be better off signing the 2 guard Minny had a couple seasons ago who wants another shot over bonzi wells.

Heck yeah! Bonzi can fill it up. He is exactly what the Wolves need. A veteran 2 guard that can score at will. Sure, he is a bit of a bonehead, but if any of what he claims is true, he can fill a huge void on the Wolves. Next move, pick up a veteran center.

With Adelman as the coach, and if Wells is in shape and truly understands that this is probably his last NBA go-round, I'm all for it. Lots of guys can play the game, but pro basketball relys on players who understand their role.It ain't college hoops anymore. Read Phil Jackson's books. I think he's the best at plugging in players to fill a specific need and explaining why it works if each person does their job.

I'll reserve judgement on Bonzi Wells. He's 35 and has been out of the NBA for 3 years. That's not exactly the resume of a difference maker. And his is not the first name that comes to mind when you think about someone to mentor young players. If he makes the roster, so be it, and good luck to him. I will root for him if he is wearing a Wolves uniform.

Sound more like a asst coach/player liason role. If he refused to listen to guys that tried to tell him, what makes him think these guys will listen to a has been? And as a player, I don't see how we should be excited about a guy who's been out of the league for 3 years and didn't even play at all last year. I don't care how familiar you are with the system.

Regardless if Bonzi is with the team or not, I am happy for him. Adelman is very wise to point out that different guys mature at different ages. It took me a while, too, and I'm always happy for people in any walk of life who find a better way to live than earlier in their lives.

So what you're telling me is that J.R. Rider still has a chance for a comeback?

When all other NBA teams are unwilling to give you a shot, that should raise red flags left and right. Hopefully Adelman will be smart enough to look for help elsewhere.
