Anderson: Annual hunt lands Christmas goose

The ice was thin for the annual excursion. But the breathtaking day was made better by the camaraderie and one lone fat goose.

I am glad you have the goose for Christmas and not me. A couple of years ago I traded some venison with a friend for a plucked Canada Goose. My friend was really happy with the trade. I thought it would be great to have the goose for Christmas. My wife did a good job of fixing it for Christmas. We took pictures of it and it looked good. Let's just say, it looked a lot better than it tasted. For Christmas this year I think pheasant would be a good option for our house.
