I realize that if Backs says and shows that he is ready, that protocol says its his - still, I think Hackett earned another opportunity.

Is it just me or has Latendresse averaged about 10 games played per season his whole career (except for his one point-filled season)? Not saying he isn't hurt....just curious.

Lats played 3 seasons over 70 games, but these last 2 seasons have been disappointing. The guy was looking good, not great, but good after nearly an entire season on the sidelines. PMB has come back from his concussion and been a decent player. Hopefully Lats can do the same. Worst thing about Lats' concussion is that it occured on an obvious boarding call...that wasn't called.

jakemano, that's what people aren't getting in calling Lats soft. The guy got his brains completely smacked around by that BS hit, but the NHL hating the Wild as normal, didn't see to it that anything was done about the hit.
