Being surrounded by teammates he knows from the minors helped settle the nerves of Wild goalie Matt Hackett during his NHL debut.

I couldn't be more happy for him. I can't imagine how nerve racking that must have been. I just hope this performance portends a promising career to come.

Fun to watch, congrats Hack! Seems like we have yet another viable option in net and we need to do all we can to move Backy to free up that cap space.

good goalie play is like good QB play in the NFL...changes everything. Awesome to have three good backstops!

I think Backstrom's NTC ended. I believe it was just for the first two years of the contract. But good luck trying to move that 6MM.

As much as I don't like the $6 mil deal Backs got I don't think too many teams would like it any better. I really like Harding but since we only signed him to a 1 year deal, he's a UFA next season, we better either sign him or trade him before the deadline. Tough decisions ahead.

Hackett defintely looked cool under pressure, so he hid his nerves pretty well...I saw his post game interview, he seemed pretty well spoken too.
