REVIEW: Tweaks to "Les Misérables" add clarity. The music retains the power of the original.

Well, I hope that fans of the show emjoy this new production. Personally I always thought Les Miz was lackluster at best. Not a great musical.

It sounds like a great show but is it worth ~$400 for a couple?

Went the other night and saw show for the first time. I thought it was fantastic! However, after sitting in small uncomfortable chairs for 3 hours, being asked to sit back down after obligatory ovation so the cast can "beg for bucks" was a bit too much theater for me.

Really enjoyed the show, as always. McVey makes a very good Jean Valjean. One big disappointment and complaint: this production needlessly added several blatant displays of "johns" humping to some scenes, sometimes for a half a minute or longer. Totally unnecessary, as it added nothing to the story. Bad decision. Parents be forewarned.

We very much enjoyed the entire 3 hours..an excellent and spectacular production..absolutely worth it...even at two bills per seat...the orpheum has it's moments...we endured a 15 minute seating rukus in front of us mid- performance...get there on time people! ..and it all works out... ABSOLUTELY SPECTACULAR despite the cost and interruption.I would do it all again..that good!

And we are still singing and whistling the tunes a day later!
