Musgrave will find a way not to use Rudolph. He should take a few plays from the Patriots on how to use a TE in the passing game. Is Musgrave in love with Gerhart? Gerhart is in on all the important downs, but on a crucial 3rd down play versus the Broncos, both Rudolph and Harvin were out. Come on Musgrave! Can someone name me the defensive back coach for the Vikings? Well whoever he is, please fire him as the Vikes DBs and safeties have the worst techniques of anyone.

They lost because of the non existant secondary, no D no W

Why is no one talking about Burton's horrible route stop on that last pick? He looked like someone from the practice squad.

I believe that the only reason to watch the Vikings these days is to see the future in Christian Ponder. I am a bit suprised by all the critics saying that choosing Ponder was a mistake. He looks like a starting caliber NFL QB to me. He is a huge upgrade over the last QB we drafted, TJack, who never really seemed to have the look of a starter. The Vikings seem to have gotten lucky on draft day; lucky that Blaine Gabbert did not "fall" to them at #12, after watching Gabbert last night, I was very thankful for Ponder.

There is nothing "costly" about Ponder's education this year. This is a rebuilding year for the Vikings and a development phase for Ponder and the coaches/system. Too many changes this year. Next year will be more of the same, IMHO.

Ripping on 'whats left' of the Vikings secondary is weak. They have been decimated by injuries. ripping the guys that are still there for their technique? Clueless.. And the DB coach? c'mon man! They've lost Winfield, Cook, Johnson, Abduallah, Asher Allen. The only guy left back there is Cedric Griffin and it hurts MY KNEES to watch him run!

This is valuable learning time for Ponder.

Peyton Manning totally stunk it up his first year in the NFL. I'm not saying Ponder is Manning, but Ponder's rookie first year does look better than a future Hall of Fame'rs first year did. Rookie mistakes can be learned from and eliminated. I believe Christian Ponder will do just that. Please! No more Viking quarterbacks who could belong to AARP? O.K.?

"costly education"?...Every one of his rookie mistakes gets him closer to having Matt Kalil protecting his blindside for the next 10 years!

Could not agree more with many of the posters above. Mistakes equate to "experience". If Ponder continues to make the same mistakes, THEN we have a problem.
