The way you gush about this growth makes it sound like the greatest thing in the world. Well, now at times we have traffic through neighborhoods that is worse than in Minneapolis. They put in a crosswind runway- at the airport that is very close to town- so now we have flight patterns over neighborhoods as well. All so that Big Brother can have more eyes in the skies trained on US. Pretty wonderful, eh?

Pay for training? Join the Army or Air Force and have them pay YOU to fix these things!

"I've been in academia a long time, and it's not often industry comes to you," - - Why Not? This tells me academia is not supplying what industry needs in the way of training. Or is not responsive when industry does come calling. What industry can not make a profit with a labor + training model???????

Looks like this is a very popular topic. Anyway, to those of you who disagreed with my first post, I see in the news today that using the drones on US (yes, that would include YOU) has been officially acknowledged, and there have been arrests made in ND using drone assistance. THAT is what should be the big story; will the sheeple pick up on it? 1984 was only about 27 years off... to quote Chris L: "What's good for the goose is good for the gander. We condone drone reconnaissance abroad but act surprised when our government uses the same drones on us. We condone locking up "enemy combatants" abroad indefinitely without a trial, but act surprised last week when our government passes a law allowing them to do the same thing to US citizens. We condone torture abroad, but then... C'mon, you know its coming."
