Glad he is staying but he should consider adding someone who could take over if needed. Like a good executive who brings someone on who will take over the executive's position when it opens. In this way he can lend his experience to the newcomer and when he is ready to leave all will be ready.

Say what you like about his politics (I think that's what they would say in Lake Woebegone), but Keillor is a cultural treasure for Minnesota. How many national celebrities (much less Minnesota celebrities) have a devoted following of 4 million people? Makes the Tweeting celebrity crowd look like amateurs.

It is great that we have an intelligent, witty, talented, funny person representing Minnesota. There are other people who represent this state that are embarrassments to everyone.

After Keillor moved to Denmark and then badmouthed the United States, I lost all respect for him. Like Brett Favre, I hope he just goes away and we don't hear from him again.

Don't go Garrison. It is your life's work. I don't agree with your politics, but you are true Minnesota. It reminds me of my grandparents in Pelican Rapids, Paul Harvey, and northern MN in general circa 1975. True innocence. That is something special.

This one trick pony will go the way of Andy Rooney. He'll delight himself in his own disagreeable egotism until shortly before he's gone. There are many who will work till death, then call that retirement.

Please retire. It will help clean up the environment.
