I love the energy of this team. This time last year I recall a "slow start". So it's nice to see some energy in this franchise. I just hope we can sustain it for another 70+ games.

ARRey sez: Are they for real? If they come out of their four game West Coast swing with 5-6 out of 12 possible points, you gotta believe!

Mister Know it all went to his first game of the year against Calgary on Sunday, the real shocker to me was the skill improvement and confidence Brodziak showed Mister Know it all, the fact that he scored 2 goals is not surprising... All three Wild centers Cullen, Koivou and Brodziak are good X and O guys,, there is the big reason the Wild goals against is so low, that and the fact that the Defensemen are being responsible/smart

Love it. The Wild in 1st in the NHL again and TSN.ca runs the Red Wings victory over the Sabres as the headliner. National media is lame. Brodziak is awesome!!

Cliff....Quick tell me who led the NHL in points on Dec 1 2007? You dont know, because nobody cares. I am not trying to take away what the Wild has accomplished this season, but people need to relax about the national respect thing. You dont earn respect in December you earn it during the playoffs. Just ask teams like the Sharks and the Canucks. Joe Thorton can win all the scoring titles in the world, but he will still be remembered for being invisible in the playoffs.

When is Fletcher going to re-sign Brodziak? He is a UFA after this year and has proven he belongs. I can't believe that they're not locking him up right now. With as well as he's playing, the longer the take, the more expensive it will be. We can not afford to lose a solid center like Brodz.

On Dec. 1 in 2007, the Detroit Red Wings led the NHL in points with 38 in 26 games played. They finished the year LEADING THE NHL with 115 points.

This is very exciting to watch. It's a long season and the playoffs are a clean slate for everybody still alive so there is so much hockey still in front of us to get too caught up in what we are seeing so far. With that said, I think it is a good thing the national hockey media isn't paying too much attention to what the Wild are doing. Hopefully, they can continue to fly under the radar for some time yet. Things certainly change once you have a target on your back everywhere you go!
