How about a statue for the stadium entrance facing the garbage burner? Nominations, anyone?

No doubt Herbie deserves the honor but if it's life-size, then his statue is going to deplete the state of most of its bronze resources. I'm just sayin...

That's one statue that won't blow away.

Career .154 in the post season (2 ALCS and 2 WS), but all that matters is that 1987 grand slam he hit in game 6 after Don Baylor hit the key 3 run homer to put us in the lead. While Mr. Gladden hit that big grand slam in game 1 and also knocked in our last run in game 7. Let's get Danny a statue, not only did he hit a whole lot better, he scored way more runs and also drove in more in those two post seasons.

Kent Hrbek getting a statue is a total joke. Guy openly laughed about not staying in shape and was involved in horse play to cause an injury. Was never serious about leaving for Detroit and more Money. Would his #14 be retired if he was from Bloomington Indiana... I thought so! Get some standards Twins..

The Hall of Fame in Cooperstown is for the "greats", not the "pretty goods". Twins statues should be the same way.

Hrbek was an awsome player and the best defensive first baseman of his era. Would have a slew of gold gloves if not for eastcoast prejudice for Mattingly. The statue should be of him knocking the Brave player off of 1st during the worldseries, good old sandlot ball, gotta love him.

Fich.... you are beautiful and absolutely right. It would be awesome if they showed Hrbie knocking off Gant. Sweet.

How about a tribute to the taxpayers of Hennepin County who the Pohlads suckered into paying for most of Target Field?

gener7--I believe Gladden scored the winning run, not knock it in. Didn't Larkin do that??
