Who cares if you are 'feeling' great Joe? We only care about playing great. At $184M forgive me if I'm more concerned about your contributions on the field than how well your adjusting being called out for being VERY soft.

I would feel great to if I took a year off from work and got paid for it.

The Twins need a better media/pr department or spokesperson with some medical knowledge. Twins should have never put out the nonsense of Bilateral Leg Weakness, Walking Pneumonia, etc. etc. - made Mauer's real ailments seem more trivial than they were. Maybe now that Terry Ryan is back in charge there will be a more professional atmosphere. Don't let Bill Smith or Gardenhire give out any type of medical or injury opinions.

First there was the Yankee's Mr. October, then came the Yankee's Mr. May. Now we have ... *drum roll please* ... Mr. December

We need his and Morny's bat in the line up.

Ummm... if you were expecting news about "contributions on the field," you'll be disappointed. Because it's the offseason. So Mauer can't really contribute anything. His health is actually big news as far as the Twins are concerned. The fact that he's able to work out all offseason is huge, because we all know what happened last year when he spent the winter hurt.

Joe, just let your presence on the field and your bat do the talking. Mauer's credibility is rather low right now & will need to overcome fans perception of him being "soft." LaVelle remarked one time that Joe must be a greyhound -- can't run if even one thing is wrong. He needs to play 120+ games in the field next year to show any different. Time to man-up. The team direly needs him to produce. With a maximum contract fans have high expectations. Pujols numbers, Joe?

I would hope he is "Feeling Great"... did he even play last year?
