"I had Aaron Ness help me out alot"--That's a scary quote! It's like Ponder saying McNabb helped me alot with my mechanics and accuracy. good grief. As long as the Gophers put a goalie with pads between the pipes, they should beat Mankato and snap their Friday night loss streak. Mankato is beyond ugly this year.

Marshall has tremendous skills, and will be a big asset coming out of the zone, with some coast-to-coast moves. But he needs a lot of work on the d side. I also think he will be a four-year player, and that's pretty exciting. He already is much better than Ness.

Marshall has a ton of potential. He is definetly an offensive defenseman and can handle the puck. He has the abilty to make the first forechecker miss and makes a smooth pass on the breakout. Right now he is in the learning stages in D-1 hckey and will only get better with experience. He is definetly making good progress and is fun to watch. He appears to take criticism well and is a team player. I for one am happy he is at the U and hope he stays for four years.

I hate to say it, but I couldn't agree more with siouxchamp on Ness. Ness came in too young. Marshal could teach him a thing or two!

Marshall is the best defenseman the Gophers have. His skill set is tremendous. With experience, he is going to have a ton of upside. I definitely see him playing in the NHL some year. This 7th round draft choice is going to be a steal.
