Last year we were just happy with a point when we got to a shootout because we were god awful! Those extra points we are picking up by winning these games will be crucial when it comes down to the end of the regular season!

I am really surprised there is not more interest in this team. They lead the league and are playing much improved hockey. I have been a huge critic of Fletcher after the Leddy trade, but as long as this team remains on a roll and a playoff contender, you can't argue with the results.

Clutterbuck, no suspension for water bottle icident, makes Staubitz take the fall while he kills off the penanalty on the penalty kill. Yeo takes no action either, lets Clutterbuck play like nothing happened. Cal now injured--Karma??

I really thought the Wild was out of it when they went down by 2 goals, and nothing seemed to be working for them. I should know better by now, because this team isn't the old Todd Richards quitter team. I'm still disappointed by the awful power play, because failing on those chances is the difference by winning by a goal or two in regulation and having to go to overtime. There was a big difference between this game and the previous game with the Oilers. In the first game, the Oilers were all over the crease, running the goaltender and owning the crease. Last night, roles were reversed, and you didn't see the Oilers jamming the puck. The Wild did that, and it got them the win. And again, Brodziak is nothing short of terrific. He carries this team, and to me, is captain material without a doubt.

Gritty win by the Wild last night. I like the mentality of this team right now. And IMHO, seems like Edmonton is playing a dirty brand of hockey. What is up with that?

Hey Keck: Iginla deserves much more than water. A suker punch to knock his lights out. Iginla antics that he was head butted was a complete joke. Keep trying to chase us cause your team is falling further and further behind.

Edmonton has definitely been playing a dirtier style of hockey over the past few years. I'd like to think it's just a phase, and they won't have to resort to that as the team improves. They have tremendous offensive talent, goaltending is stellar, but their defense still needs work, and I think that is where the dirty play comes in, compensating for their defensive shortcomings. This is the one team in the West that the rest of the conference should be worried about in the coming years...along with the Wild!

hockeyfox, there's no interest nationally because everyone still focuses on if Sid has sniffles or if Ovi breaks wind.

Personally, I don't think it was worth benching Wellman so Stupitz and Darcy could tangle. Not exactly what I'd call enforcers. Stupe only had 1 shift in the 3rd, so that shows Yeo knows he's worthless and with the forecheck Gillies had going last night we may have avoided overtime if Wellman gets the opportunity.
