They are called Christmas cookies. Why is it so hard to say that word these days? Its not a "holiday tree" either...its a Christmas tree!! If you have one, you know thats what it is for!!! ugh.

karolj1 - I totally agree with you, but do you really think they would be able to fess up to it in liberal-land Minneapolis? Not on your life. PS - Merry Holiday and Happy New Year!

karolj1 - I know many Atheists, Muslim and Jewish folks buy Holiday trees, Holiday stockings, Holiday lights, etc. Oh wait, no I dont. What I find to be a form of discrimination is that at Target and other retailers, the Jewish stuff says Hanukkah on it yet the Christmas mostly says anything but Christmas. Seems to be quite a double standard

I think everyone should celebrate the way they want and not worry who calls it a holiday tree or Christmas tree.

Oh no, lemon-lime christmas tree cookies. As an atheist, I'm deeply offended. I simply won't make these cookies. Actually I'm kidding (about the cookie name); I don't care one bit whether someone uses the word christmas or holiday. Christmas is just as much a secular holiday as it is a religious holiday.

Congratulations to these bakers! The cookies sound delish and I'm excited to try making some of them.
