With the rise in the taxes paid in this state, there must be too many other social programs in place to care for the children of the state. Time to look at union payoffs, retirements, benefits, welfare, et. al. Remember, it for the kids!

On a humanitarian basis, child care is much more important than senior citizen care. Children can have rare diseases that cause 60 years of suffering. No 85 year old has any comparable problem. They already won the game of life. It is absolutely crucial to take care of sick children, and protect the wellness of all children. This should be above all senior citizen care. Senior citizens should be the first to agree with that. I believe, when they think very deeply about it, they would agree.

Pawlenty's legacy: increased poverty, increased unemployment, increased number of uninsured vets, women, and children. He leaves the state in debt and oddly enough, quits his 2-year presidential run -- leaving his campaign in debt. As far as I'm concerned, he can work on that southern drawl and move to Mississippi.

(Please read completely before deleting?)Kids? What fun is caring for someone else's kids? Let's instead spend 650 million we don't have on a new stadium for our Viking gladiators! Kids be D_____! A country that does not adequately see to the needs of its children, the elderly, the handicapped and the disadvantaged needs to badly readjust its priorities. Raise my taxes? Yes! If the money goes to benefit all the above! No child should be without adequate health care in Minnesota. Now THAT is a luxury we Minnesotans can afford!

Kids and adults, the numbers climb. Why? Only one reason: capitalization. Too many six figure income administrators that have NOTHING to do with our health (except to take our medical dollar) need to be supported. In the mean time, places like Fairview's Waggenstein building on the University of MN campus looks filthy. Apparently even the janitors are lowballed to help the administrators pad their pockets. And let's not even go into the deals made to enrich the drug manufacturers.
