The coach made several changes before Monday's victory over Tampa Bay, and he sees no reason to change.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it sure looked like Clayton Stoner got burned a lot in the Tampa game. He always seemed to be chasing someone. Can't we get Prosser back up here and move Stoner out?

Why is Gillies sitting, and Stupitz is playing? Do the Wild think Stupitz is a better player or is playing better than Gillies? I dont see it.

The Hockey News latest hot list has two Wild draft picks on it. Mikael Granlund leads the Finnish Elite League in scoring 30pts/24 games played and Zack Phllips has a 19 game scoring streak. Phillips is playing for St. John's (QMJHL).

@bobo72 I agree that Stoner had a rough one Monday, but one bad game and bring back Prosser?? Prosser was sent down because he (and Falk) had at least 2 bad games in a row. Yeo seems to like giving his players a chance to respond, and I like that philosophy. Now if Stoner keeps struggling, sure, make some changes, but if we sent down every player that had one bad game, where would that leave us?

RE: mrbluesky I am certainly not trying to defend Staubitz, but I was expecting more from Gillies. Off the top of my head, I can not recall one goal this year by the 4th line.

I will be so happy once Staubitz is sent packing. Maybe we can trade him & some walleye fillets for Paul Bissonnette.

Staubitz may have gotten dragged into taking stupid penalties by Hordichuk, but Hordichuk also proved that he is perhaps the biggest coward in the NHL. Apparently, after falling down twice after challenging Staubitz, he told Edmonton interviewers between periods that he was definitely going to fight Staubitz that night. If by fight, he meant he was going to run and hide for the rest of the night, then he succeeded. Otherwise, he just showed what a coward he really is. Hopefully one of our bigger guys like Stoner can give him a few good checks so that Darcy can see what real physical contact is really like.

@hockeybias....there was a great video of a brawl in Finland I saw yesterday. The ref dropped the puck for a faceoff, and every guy on both teams immediately dropped their gloves and started punching away. Apparently they were all ready for it, as everyone had already picked out a sparring partner, and everyone just ignored the puck. I was thinking it was a perfect time for the goaltender to take the puck and skate down to try and score against the other goaltender!

I agree Gillies isnt burying pucks in the net, but he sure plays hard, hits hard and hustles. He only has 6 penalty minutes compared to Staubitz 39. Gillies has two assists to Staubitz 0. They are both a -2. Just curious after dumbo sat in the box half the first period, why they would sit Gillies? I am not saying it is right or wrong, but am curious.

Makes me wonder why we kept Stupitz and let Nystrom go, he's making a mark in Dallas. Congrats Eric. Go Wild !
