"The agency is seeking to cancel Cargill's existing government contracts and prohibit it from future business - until it resolves the violations." -- ALLEGED violations. You left out a pretty important word there.

"This is an unfortunate case in which thousands of qualified workers were denied the opportunity to compete fairly for jobs in a tough economy," -- this coming from the DoL in a world Affirmative Action is laughable. There is no "fair competition," as long as certain candidates are given a federally mandated arbitrary advantage.

I interviewed for a job at Cargill HQ a few years back. The VP whom I interviewed with asked me if I was "Catholic or somethin'," and if my wife was "foreign or somethin'." Although I was finalist for the position, I didn't get the job and was told that I wasn't a good cultural fit, that I was too "downtown" for them. That's ok, because they came across as sexist and racist to me. The good ol' boy network is alive and well at Cargill.

What hiring standards? The affirmative action requirements are HIGHLY discriminatory. White males go to the back of the bus. Department of labor needs to be dissolved and their outdated policies need to go away.

Equitable distribution, if the numbers do not match the geographic location ethnic percentages then I guess you are in trouble no matter which end of the spectrum you are at. You can't win in a losing situation.

No wonder jobs are leaving the US. Let companies hire those that they think will do the job right and show up for work each day.
