This is going to be a long season if Mbakwe is hurt.. As you can see by the second half of this game, he really carries this team..

Hope Mbakwe is OK! They need him if they are going any where! That being said it appears that a good shooting team from the outside will give them problems! Their inexperience is showing!

"SIGH" I dont think I have ever seen a program as snake bit as this one.Our motto is "everything that can go wrong will".This team was possibly a B- team with prospects of improving if their young guards could mature quickly.Without Trevor we are a C- team with little hope of even making the NIT.Could be a very very long season.

Can anyone shoot on this team? Can anyone pass? CAn anyone dribble? Can anyone play defense? It is great to see NBA talent RW dominate at this level!!!!!!

Hopefully, the Gophers will do okay during the rest of the non-conference season and not repeat last year's experience. As you will all recall, they started strong just as they did this year, and then lost badly going away to a lowlhy Virginia team after gettign way up early just like they did against a very modest Dayton team. Williams disappeared once again and others played out of control once Dayton started to come on strong with the Gophers having no way to stop them. Looks like another .500 season at best in conference play (a tough road to get to that level) and then another NCAA bubble in March, with or with otu Mkwabe. Smith is playing lots of players against modest opposition but the test will come against the good conference teams who will be a real challenge for them.

I was at the game tonight. Even before Trevor went down it was no contest. This team has NOBODY who can shoot. 2 years from now Tubby will be gone. He has failed to recruit. Really pathetic

When will Tubby be held accountable for his mess? Mbakwe going down only provides him with one more excuse. Enough excuses! This program has declined under Tubby's recruits! No one in their right mind can argue with that point.

I try to stay positive. But I speak for alot of people when I say IM SICK AND TIRED OF THE GOPHERS GIVING UP COUNTLESS THREE POINTERS EVERY GAME. And turning the ball over over 15 times every game will shoot the gophers in the foot and prevent them from making the tournament.

Season ended tonight, no Mbakwe get used to 8 game losing streaks again, that should be fun. PS maybe work on ball handling and passing a little more and for the love of all that is good, DON'T help on the drive to give up the 3. 3 equals 1 more point then two, it's math.
