Good job!! I once found a nice 8 pointer that had a bullet through it's lungs but obviously had not dropped in it's tracks and the hunter must have never looked. It couldn't have gone 100 yds. from the place it had been shot. (most likely less than 50 yds.) Shame on that hunter and kudo's to you two Pro's!

...like this year when I got to track my first -- only I did it with just the aid of a clip-on hat lamp at night on my hands and knees... I hunkered down for what might be a long night. However, my heart shot allowed it to run fifty yards, but what a long fifty yards it was!

My greatest disapointment deer hunting was giving up after loosing the blood trail the second day of trailing a wounded buck. I had made mistakes that put me into that situation. That made it all the worse.

One morning as the sky began to get light I saw a lump in the woods that wasn't there when I left the stand the night before. It turned out to be a dead doe that had been shot and escaped. I looked at it for hours until I dropped a buck that came walking by.
