On the first penalty, Hordichuk should have been assessed an unsportsmanlike 2 min. infraction; on the second, he should have dropped the gloves. I don't blame Stauby too much, especially since he showed a lot of discipline the remainder of the game. Good for Yeo to give Staubs the chance to respond to the first period's frustrations with disciplined play.

Hordichuk has only played 5 games for Edmonton, has 1 shot and averages 2:52 per game, so I'd say he had a huge game for baiting STUPITZ into putting us short 8 minutes in the first period. I'm sure Brad is a good guy, and feels bad about the penalties BUT how much does he contribute and WHAT is his role ? He's not much of a tough guy, he's not pesky enough to fill a role like Cooke or Tootoo, so why not give a shot to someone like Wellman and not worry about the "tough guy" slot.

I forgot to mention that Ryan Smythe NEEDS to have some chiclets popped out for ABUSING our crease ! It's almost a given that he will score whenever we play a team with him on it. Clearing the net has been a pet peeve of mine with this team for many seasons, and if you can't do it in the regular season you're screwed in the playoffs.
