Pregnancy discrimination lingers in workplaces

Complaints to the EEOC remain historically high, and the economy isn't helping.

I think it would be fair to say that if any boss saw one of their employees who had just been out of work for two months after suffering a heart attack burning down cigarettes and eating bacon double cheeseburgers with extra mayonnaise they would be a bit annoyed too. Why any employer would be delighted to loose an employee for several months regardless of the reason is beyond me. Having children is a choice. Should having kids cost someone their job I don't believe so, but it is certainly naive to think that it is does negatively reflect on their commitment to the company.
