We saw a similar tree at a craft fair back in the 1990's. I have to wonder who REALLY should have "the patten"? This is a simple design that takes little "skill" to make. It costs what the metal rod costs..the rest can be made from scraps around the shop, if you paint the wood. They were popular, inexpensive Christmas gifts that year.

This is a cool tree but I'd prefer a cheaper one! A modern-looking wooden Christmas decoration might be more appealing to some people. This tree is more my style: http://tinyurl.com/6sr4627 Small, wooden, hip, cheaper. Perfect decoration for the Christmas season.
