What do they do for season ticket holders. They seem to have forgotten we exsist. Wake up people give up your tickets. Let's all meet a Joe Sensor were we can watch the game and get a DRINK. In the end it will cost us less. We can watch a better team on the next screen and have a better time. If nothing else we watch the game on Big Ten chanell, drink and better food. Think of the money you will save by the end of the year.

There's a real simple fix to the problem. Put a team on the field. Too bad Kaler's first move (Kill from 5 to 7 years) appears as ignorant as Bruininks (the continued existance of Maturi). So, reap what you sow. And you're not really gonna lose any $$ anyway, it's merely not the expected gain from Nebraska and the B10 Championship game.

@drphun - college football...and most sporting events for that matter...can be enjoyed without drinking. I am so sick of reading that lame excuse every time gopher football is the subject. Drink in a bar...that's where it belongs and where I do it.

I don't know about you, but the fact that there won't be legions of Iowa, Wisconsin or NDSU fans at the games next year makes me MORE inclined to want to see a game. The experience will be more enjoyable for that reason alone.

PROBLEMS SELLING TICKETS IT APPEARS SOME FANS, STUDENTS AND NON-STUDENTS, NEED TO KNOW THEY CAN HAVE ALCOHOL TO BUY TICKETS. THE U OF M HAS ONE OF THE LARGEST CAMPUSSES IN THE US AND CAN SELL LESS THAN 6000 SEASON TICKETS. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT AN OUTSIDE STADIUM FOR FOOTBALL IN MINNEAPOLIS IS ADVANTAGEOUS. MOST FANS WANT TO LEAVE THE CAMPUS IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE GAME ENDS AND TRAFFIC IS GRIDLOCKED,ESPECIALLY DURING CENTRAL CORRIDOR CONSTRUCTION. THE UNIVERSITY HAS TO COMPETE WITH A PRO FOOTBALL TEAM IN THE SAME CITY. THE UNIVERSITY HAS CHOSEN NOT TO MAKE FOOTBALL AND FOOTBALL PLAYERS THE MAJOR FOCUS AT THE UNIVERSITY. RECENT GOPHER OPPONENTS IN EVANSTON, DESCRIBED THEIR NEWFOUND PROGRAM SUCCESS, DURING A TV INTERVIEW, NORTHWESTERN'S PREVIOUS COACH BARNETT INCLUDED "THE UNIVERSITY POLICE" AS BEING PART OF THE PROGRAM SUCCESS. ROYCE WHITE, THE FORMER U OF M BASKETBALL PLAYER, MADE STATEMENTS THAT THE U OF M POLICE HARRASSED HIM AND HE TRANSFERRED OUT OF THE PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, SUPPORT OF THE FOOTBALL PLAYERS BY THE U OF M, FOOTBALL DONORS AND ALUMNI IS PARAMOUNT IN CONTINUALLY RECRUITING TOP FOOTBALL PLAYER RECRUITS. THE UNIVERSITY IS NOT PAYING A TOP HEAD COACH SALARY NEEDED TO RETAIN A TOP HEAD COACH. COACH KILL CAME WITH A GOOD RECORD IN LESSER LEAGUES BUT CAME WITH THE BAGGAGE OF MEDICAL PROBLEMS, WHICH THE U OF M UNDERSTOOD, THAT BECAME NOTORIUS HIS FIRST YEAR. RECRUITERS FROM OTHER SCHOOLS CAN USE THIS INFORMATION TO KEEP SOME TOP FOOTBALL PLAYERS AWAY FROM THE U OF M. THE UNIVERSITY PROBABLY GAVE KILL A NEW 7 YEAR CONTRACT IN RESPONSE TO PRESENT AND NEW FOOTBALL RECRUITS AND TICKET BUYER CONCERN'S THAT KILL'S HEALTH PROBLEMS ARE RESOLVED AND WILL NOT CAUSE HIM TO LEAVE COACHING. LETS BE HONEST,FOOTBALL PLAYERS DO NOT WANT TO WATCH THEIR COACH GOING THROUGH SEIZURES; DURING A GAME, ON AN AIRPLANE OR ANYTIME. FINALLY, THE QUALITY AND SIZE OF MODERN TELEVISIONS AND THE AVAILABILITY OF TV GAME PROGRAMMING WITHOUT ADDITIONAL COST MAKE WATCHING THE GAME INDOORS AT A BAR RESTAURANT AND AT HOME A GOOD OPTION.
