So many to choose from, it's quite amazing in this town you can have guys like David Kahn and Joel Maturi who any other year would be strong choices, but alas will probably have to settle for runner-up again as they don't come within 10 miles of Joe Mauer.

I completely agree with anyone who thinks Mauer deserves this award, he does, but how about the fans who keep falling for the "Vikings will move to LA" threat every time it is mentioned? Every time that is brought up in a column 150 or more fans panic and beg for a new stadium. I think that deserves serious consideration for "Turkey of the Year" honors in the future.
