Nooooo! This can't POSSIBLY be happenning! This is an ESSENTIAL service, soooo important it took a special court ruling to keep it open during the shutdown because we couldn't function without it, right? Bill G.

Ive got a couple suggestions. How about cutting a few bleeping trees along the train route? At least 5 times during the trip, the guide made some lame line like "if you watch real close, you MIGHT get aglimpse at the XXXXXXXXXXXXX, through the trees. It is really hard to se because they have grown so much since the train was built". Say what? God invrnted chsainsaws for a reason. Next up, who was the genius that put the only shade in the buffalo area on the far side of the field from the train, with the sun behind the animals so there is no chance of actually seeing them? As for that "acclaimed" grizzly exhibit, the windows are on an iside corner, causing a huge traffic jam with a very restricted visibility to the enclosure. I really don't care how many zoo experts like it, it sucked. Bill G.

The zoo is a fun place to go, but lets face....been there, done that! Most families have done it many times and its not the new fad. Only very young families would not have gone. It also cost money to go and the economy is not helping the matter.

It's the economy stupid! And yes - my kids went to the zoo with there elementary classes - and guess what? They don't want to go back... been there, done that.

Last time I was there, the admittance fee was what, $18? Plus $5 for parking? So a family of four, including snacks, etc. runs up a tab of close to $100! And they're surprised that attendance is dropping? They need to get a clue! This has become unaffordable to do more than once every several years!

I stopped going to the zoo when they decided to start discriminating against smokers. There are also a number of concerts there I would have went to that I didn't and won't in the future.

I have been twice. I found myself almost depressed being there. Lots of walking without seeing that much. The grounds were in desperate need of upkeep. Lots of weeds. Overgrown shrubs and trees with lots of wasted space with nothing to look at. I doubt very seriously I will ever visit there again. Sad, but true.

Get a family pass. It's a hundred dollars for an entire calendar year including parking. Gets all 4 of us in whenever we want to go. Heck, we could go everyday if we wanted. Great exercise and stimulates the brain. Do not get sucked into paying every visit. Even 2 to 3 times per year is a huge savings.

Quit watching football and playing Xbox and get outside and go to the zoo
